Midiron Bermuda

Description
Midiron Bermuda is an attractive medium textured hybrid bermudagrass.
Because of its deep root system it is one of the most cold tolerant of the
turf type bermudas.


Midiron is used for commercial sites, roadsides, golf courses, athletic fields and
provides excellent erosion control in problem areas.
Color:
Medium to dark blue-green
Texture: Medium blades, with good grass plant density and excellent leaf uniformity;
superior weed resistance
Mowing Height:
As low as 0.5" in direct sun; 1 to 2.5 inches recommended.
Frequency:
1 to 2 times per week.
Watering:
Newly planted turf should be watered daily and soaked thoroughly to a depth of 3
inches for the first 10 to 14 days to avoid dry out. Thereafter as needed to prevent
visual wilt (blue-gray hue)
N Fertilization:
1 pound of actual nitrogen per 1,000 sq. ft. per growing month when combined with
recommended phosphorous and potassium. Avoid N applications during hot
months this will only increase plant demands for water. Applications of iron will keep
plants deep green.
Soils:
Performs well in all types of soil.
pH Tolerance:
5.5 to 8.8
Wear Tolerance:
Good wear resistance and will withstand heavy traffic. Very good injury recovery -
spreads rapidly by rhizomes in warm season.
Shade Tolerance:
Has high light requirement - requires full sunlight most of day.
Heat Tolerance:
Has very good heat tolerance.
Cold Tolerance:
More cold tolerant than most turf type Bermudas
